Due to renovations at the Frankfurt Concert Hall, we are moving part of our chamber music series to the event hall of the Kleist Museum in Frankfurt this season. This fits in well with this Sunday matinée, as the museum will be opening the exhibition ‘Kleist and Music’ in autumn 2025.
With this matinée, we are providing musical accompaniment to this exhibition and to the Kleist era. Not only did the poet Heinrich von Kleist play the clarinet himself, but with Johann Baptist Vanhal and Iwan Müller, we also have two of his contemporaries in the programme.
