3. Sunday Matinée

For this edition of our highly successful »Christmas Jazz« concerts, the BSOF’s Monkfish Trio has invited one of the country’s most famous jazz singers. Since the 1980s, Pascal von Wroblewsky has been shaping the jazz scene in Germany and Europe with her four-octave voice. She has performed on stage with a wide variety of ensembles, from duos to symphony orchestras. She has worked with jazz greats such as Joe Pass, Dizzy Gillespie and Femi Kuti. Her awards are as numerous as her albums.

At this »Christmas Jazz« matinée in the new atrium of Frankfurt City Hall, she will get you in the mood for Christmas with jazz, including classics that Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole sang to swing their way into the most wonderful time of the year.

She will be accompanied by the BSOF’s Monkfish Jazz Trio. The trio consists of Frankfurt jazz pianist Sebastian Strahl, our solo double bassist Stefan Große Boymann and our solo timpanist Matthias Buchheim.
