End of the Year Concert

As is our tradition, we shall once again bring the year to a close with Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9. The Ninth will again be conducted by our honorary conductor, Howard Griffiths. Under his baton, the quartet of soloists, together with the Singakademie Frankfurt, will join in the great jubilant celebration in the finale. With these “joyful” notes, we wish to end a year that has been eventful on many levels. “Magic binds again”, for “All people become brothers” – with this confidence, we wish to make our musical contribution to looking out upon the world with hope. The quartet of soloists for the Ode to Joy comprises four young singers from the International Opera Studio of the Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin.
