»Gracias a la Vida« – Thank You to Life is the title of our New Year’s concert, which we will spice up with South American flair. We will play tangos by Astor Piazzolla and songs by Violeta Parra and Consuelo Velázquez, who wrote Bésame mucho, among other songs. We will also present hits by Gershwin, Ennio Morricone and timelessly beautiful melodies by Bach, Ravel and Mozart.
In keeping with the South American rhythms, we have invited Argentine musician Lily Dahab to join us. She has been living in Berlin for several years and has enchanted audiences and the press in Germany. Lily Dahab is "the one who kisses with her voice", write the newspapers. The concert will be conducted by saxophonist, conductor and composer Norbert Nagel. He is one of Germany’s best crossover musicians.
