Oskar Among the Woodwinds
- Annette Hirsch, Clarinet
- Takahiro Watanabe, Oboe
- Selma Sofie Westermann, Bassoon
Woodwind instruments are like other instruments: there is a whole family of them. The bassoon buzzes at a low pitch. If you imagine it as the father of the family, then the oboe would be the daughter. It sometimes reminds you of an opera singer. The clarinet, on the other hand, is something like the cheeky cousin. It is the acrobat of the family and can sing as high as an oboe and as low as a bassoon. While the oboe and bassoon are mainly found in classical orchestras, the clarinet loves to romp through a wide variety of musical genres. Our orchestra elf Oskar introduces the bassoon, oboe and clarinet in this concert.
