Viennese Classic meets American Classics. We present the latter with one of the most established violinists in the USA. Philippe Quint has been nominated multiple times for a Grammy Award. The New York Times and the British Daily Telegraph rave about the poetry of his performance, his “perfect musicality, sonority and passion”. He has proven just how accurate this assessment is in his collaborations with some of the world’s finest orchestras.

With the BSOF, he is dedicating himself to the magnificent violin concerto by American composer Samuel Barber. Its sumptuous gestures and catchy melodies make this composition a favourite of great violinists and audiences alike. It builds up very soulfully and ends in a grandiose final movement with the highest technical difficulties.

We also present Beethoven’s Eroica, a symphony that sparked a musical revolution. Here, he broke new ground and created a seminal work for 19th-century symphonic composition.
